Hello guy!
My name is Mary, I'm a student at UFMT in Rondonópolis/Brasil. I have lived here sinse 2007, but I originally came from Rio Grande do Sul. My blog aims at exchanging my experiences with other students and learning with them .
I have never had a formal instructions in English before I entered at college.
I studied English at High school only but it was a public school and there was no available English teacher at that time.
After 13 years, when I decided to try"vestibular", I chose Spanish because English for me was extremely hard. But, I passed into the vestibular and I started studying in 2008, and I didn't imagine that the course was English only.
At the first year was the mostt difficulty, but I decided to keep on my goals and I continue my studies at colleges and now I am enjoying my course.
At the second year I started a private language course "ALL" (local English Course) and I have been studying there until now.
I consider my learning at ALL is getting better, because my teacher is patient and she speaks English carefully. At ALL, I have been learning a lot and now, I have been improving and pronunciation as well.
My negative experience was at the second year, when my professor gave me a big homework. Firstly, I think that I could never make it, but I could. So, I worked a lot, I reserched through internet and also book and I got all exercises. This experience was negative but also positive because everything is getting easily and I realized what autonomy means in learning process.
My best experience this year is to meet teacher Mark, she is American and I love her because she is calm and she is very understandable person. I also discovered that I don't need to pronounce and write perfectly. I'm not American this is my lesson.
If you ask me how I study, I tell that I only like to listen to music, I don´t have patience to see film in English and I hate to study grammar. But I love writing and reading.
I'm quite convinced that study English is very important to my future.
